    Wireless Networks

    Available Wireless Network Offerings:

    • LAC Portal
      • Preferred Network Access
        • Secured network access to LC services for Students, Faculty and Staff.
        • Connect  as a network user using your assigned network user id and password.
      • Sponsored Guest Access is Available.
        • To obtain access select Guest Registration and complete the required information.
        • Be sure to enter the sponsors email address in the approprite sponsor field.
    • LAC Printers
      • Select Device Access
      • Contact LC Office of Information Technology at (318) 487-7181
    • LC Hotspot
      • Provides limited internet access only.  To connect please select the SSID LC Hotspot  and use the pass key phrase wildcats.
      • For help connecting please contact one of the following offices:
        • LC Admissions at (318) 487-7259.
        • LC Student Life at (318) 487-7124.
        • LC Office of Information Technology at (318) 487-7181.
    • LC Info
      • Only provides information on how to connect to networks and select Help Desk Offerings.  No additional service access is available.

    User Passwords

    Domain and Email passwords must be at least 8 characters long and must contain the following:

    • at least one number (0-9),
    • at least one lowercase letter (a-z),
    • at least one uppercase letter (A-Z),
    • and at least one of these special characters (spaces are not allowed):
      ! # $ % & ( ) * + , - . / : ; < = > ? @ [ \ ] ^ _ ` { | } ~ 

    Office365 Education and Office365 Education Plus

    Students, faculty and staff who have valid school email addresses can sign up and use Office 365 services, including, Office 365 ProPlus and OneDrive for Business. Microsoft has enabled the capability for students, faculty and staff to sign up for Office 365 simply by using their school email addresses.

    Office 365 Education includes 1 terabyte (TB) of OneDrive for business storage per user for school-related files, Office Online, SharePoint Online and Yammer.

    Office 365 Education Plus, includes Office 365 ProPlus, and allows students, faculty and staff to install the latest version of Office on up to five PC or Mac computers* and on other mobile devices, including Windows tablets and the iPad.

    *Access and Publisher are available on PCs only. OneNote for Mac is available as a separate download from the Mac App Store.
